As I talk to people from day to day, invariably the first thing said to me is along the lines of:
“I hear the real estate market is terrible!”
To which I respond with the truth: “Absolutely not!”
I wish I could describe to you the incredulous looks I get at that point - it’s really quite entertaining. While it is true that the seacoast market has softened, and has turned from a strong seller’s market to a buyer’s market, the fact remains that a lot of real estate is selling. Buyers are out there. The much h lded rise in interest rates is overstated- sure, rates have risen but are still quite low historically. We are selling real estate- homes, condos, land, commercial and investment properties.
Here are the May sales results from The Masiello Group:
We closed 457 transactions compared to 438 for May of 2005. More encouraging, we wrote 595 new transactions group wide versus 530 last May. This - in a market that is considered to be flat or down.
So, how do you wade your way through the hype? I am pleased to report that I am introducing an exclusive new service next month that will provide you with an insider’s look at the local market:
The Seacoast Market Report will be unlike anything you’ve seen before.
My motivation? It’s always been my mission to provide my clients the best information to give them an edge. Information is power, and I want to arm you with the type of information and guidance that will give you a distinct advantage in any real estate transaction. I’ve often been accused of being “over the top”, in fact friends and I would joke about that. Guilty as charged. Over The Top is where I live, it’s who I am. My clients expect the finest real estate services from me, and it is my aim to deliver on that expectation- in fact, it’s my goal to over deliver.
This information will help you understand the market as a whole, but when you’re ready to make a move, sell or buy property, I’ll focus in on your specific situation, your objectives, needs and expectations. We will then set a course, and execute that plan.
This is admittedly a monstrous data crunching undertaking, but my client’s deserve nothing less.
Until next month,
